Luis Palau (1934–2021) was an Argentine evangelist, author, and broadcaster whose ministry touched millions of lives around the world. Born near Buenos Aires, Argentina, he committed his life to Christ at age twelve and began preaching as a teenager. Inspired and mentored by evangelist Billy Graham, Palau dedicated more than 65 years to sharing the Gospel across cultures and generations. Alongside his wife, Patricia, he built a ministry rooted in biblical truth, personal evangelism, and a deep conviction that every person deserves to hear the message of Jesus Christ.
In 1978, Palau established the Luis Palau Association, which organized more than 500 evangelistic campaigns, festivals, and gatherings across more than 80 nations. From historic events in Latin America to major outreach efforts in New York, London, and cities throughout Asia and Europe, his ministry united thousands of churches in proclaiming the Gospel. Through international radio broadcasts, including Luis Palau Responde, and numerous books, he brought biblical encouragement and the message of salvation to audiences worldwide.
Beyond his extraordinary reach, Palau was known for his humility, compassion, and dedication to equipping future generations of evangelists. His commitment to church unity and innovative outreach created a lasting model for global evangelism. Following his passing in March 2021, his mission continues through the Palau Association under the leadership of his family and ministry team. His legacy remains a testimony to a life devoted to Christ and the enduring power of the Gospel.
